For Pickup Freight and Doorstep Delivery parcels, you will need to create a label independently. However, you do need to adhere to the below label requirements for successful management of parcels within the Parcelpoint network.
For all labels, including tracking labels and consignments, we use the GS1 standard for sorting, transporting and tracking parcels through our system, both onshore and offshore.
A common fulfillment process is outlined below. There are two levels at which the label needs to be created:
Tracking Label
Tracking labels are used to identify the customers delivery address and are attached to an individual parcel. At a minimum, we require that a tracking label is created in order for the parcel to be delivered.
Consignment Label
Consignment labels are used to identify a number of parcels with a container, also known as a cage/pallet/large box. Consignments are used to transport a large number of parcels between central locations such as a HUB, to improve reliability, efficiency and reduce costs for senders. Working with consignments allows us to give better tracking and improve reliability of your deliveries within the SLA.
